This week in the National Journal, Brian Resnick calls for awareness of the Veterinary Role in infectious disease control.
He suggests several points that confer the importance of the veterinary and vaccinology perspective in targeting disease control:
- 'To prevent diseases in humans, we should be able to address what's happening in the animal world and the environment'
- Veterinary and Medical doctors need to work together
- Mass rabies vaccination for dogs illustrates multidisciplinary coordination in tackling an animal and public health issue.
