Salary Range: £32,004 - £38,183
A network manager is required for the ‘International Veterinary Vaccinology Network’, a £2.2M MRC/BBSRC funded initiative to bring together scientists from the UK and low-middle-income countries (LMICs) to address critical challenges in the development of vaccines for livestock for use in LMICs.
This position will be based at The Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh, Scotland but the job will entail extensive interactions with other academic and industrial partners both in the UK and LMICs.
The main responsibilities include the organisation of international scientific meetings, workshops, ensuring effective communication between network members, representing the Network to both specialist and non-specialist audiences and providing logistical and administrative support to the Networks directors and management board.
The position requires excellent organisational and inter-personal skills and a PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. immunology, virology, bacteriology).
This post is available on a fixed-term basis for 4 years.
