Currently active in pig respiratory disease (BBSRC LoLa grant until 2016). Consortium of IC, Cambs, LSHTM & RVC, together with DEFRA & Zoetis.
This programme has a focus on porcine respiratory disease (contagious pleuropneumonia and enzootic pneumonia). Using functional genomics to develop a platform for vaccine and diagnostics for pig respiratory disease.
Vaccination using experimental live-attenuated vaccines.
Development of tools for Mycoplasma genetics and rational attenuation of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae.
Novel toxoid vaccination against staphylococcal mastitis – with Zoetis
