Pathophysiology of infections caused by the pathogenic Neisseria- meningitis/septicaemia and gonorrhoea as well as meningitis caused by other pathogens. The development of vaccines using a variety of techniques including recombinant proteins/peptides; DNA vaccines; vaccine delivery and adjuvants; structural biology. Current veterinary-related research includes a study of Streptococcus suis infection of human cells in vitro; development of Dichelobacter nodosus subunit vaccine.
