Aim:
- To set up partnership links between UK and overseas laboratories
- To promote the exchange of scientists, particularly early career scientists
- To promote access to facilities
There are no restrictions on the scientific area for application to the USA Partnering Awards (other than that it must fall within our remit). However, we encourage applications focused on Animal Health, Disease and Welfare/Wellbeing.
The aim of the highlight is to promote improved collaborative working between the UK and USA in the following areas that were identified as high priority for collaboration at the US-UK funders and researchers workshop held in June 2015
- Immunology and vaccinology (animal health and food safety)
- Antimicrobial resistance (alternatives to current antimicrobials)
- Anthelmintic resistance
- Emerging/re-emerging animal pathogens including zoonoses;
- Animal welfare/well-being
