The 10th Vaccinology Meeting of the French Society for Immunology (SFI) will take place on Monday March 20th and Tuesday March 21st in Palais Hirsch, University Lumière Lyon 2, 15 Claude Bernard quay, 69007 Lyon.
Organized by the Vaccinology Club of the SFI, this international meeting brings together, every other year, scientists, physicians, pharmacists, veterinarians , and students and workers in microbiology and immunology who are interested in following progresses in vaccinology, the innocuity and efficacy of existing vaccines, the development of new vaccines for humans or for animals, new adjuvants, the follow-up of the immune response, etc…
This meeting aims at being a place for open exchanges, at a crossroad between industry, science and human and veterinary medicines, as well as between European, Asian, African and American countries. To ensure possibility for all to exchange, talks and discussions will be in English.
Among the topics to be discussed this year, the Organizing Committee has selected themes and subjects which underline the diversity of the matter :
-Basic Immunology and Vaccinology ;
-Animal models ;
-Development of Vaccines in an Emergency Situation
-Vaccines in development against Pertussis, bronchiolitis, Foot and Mouth Disease, Clostridium difficile infection…
-Cancer vaccines and cancer immunotherapy
-Broadly neutralizing antibodies to fight HIV/AIDS
The meeting will begin at 10 AM on Monday March 20 and will end at 5 :30 PM on Tuesday the 21st. A standing lunch will be served at 1 PM on both days.
